Group & Championship AG Pet Days
In addition to last week's account. Well done to the students who progressed from Agricultural Judging at the school pet day, to Group Day at Ladbrooks School and finally Championship Day at the Christchurch Show Grounds earlier this month.
Group Day: The weather was fantastic and Springston had a good number of students in the lambs and dairy calf sections.
Results for group day were:
- Angus: 3rd in intermediate lamb
- Olive: 2nd Junior lamb
- Thomas: 1st Junior calf
Championship Day:
This took place at the Christchurch Show Ground and the weather was bit cloudy and grey but that certainly didn't put the kids off. Once again Springston had a good number of students in the senior and junior lambs, dairy calf and chicken sections. It was great to see all the months of hard work paying off for them in their sections
Results for Championship Day:
- Angus: 1st project, 3rd leading handling, 6th care & attention, reserved champion lamb
- Olive: 3rd project, 5th leading and handling lamb
- Alby: 2nd project lamb
- Frank: 4th project lamb
- Lauren: three 2nd ribbons, reserve champion chicken
- Thomas: 1st project, 1st leading & handling, 1st type , 2nd care and attention, champion dairy junior calf
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in Agricultural Project Judging this year. It was great to see them all doing so well and representing Springston School with their loved pets.
