Canterbury Gymnastics
Another fine performance
On Wednesday a team of senior gymnasts headed off to Christchurch to compete in the Canterbury Gymnastics competition.
This team has really demonstrated the school's A+ characteristics. They have been A+ accepting by practising in an old classroom and outside on frosty days. They also needed to put the beam into the back of the library so they could actually stand up. They have shown they are A+ accountable by arriving at school early in the morning and giving up their break times to practice. This dedication has been rewarded with some excellent results in the competition. Ka pai to all the girls for their enthusiasm and commitment.
Final results:
Grade 2 section:
1st overall team: Krystal, Brooklyn and Polly
1st overall: Krystal (1st in Floor, 3rd in Beam)
2nd overall: Brooklyn (1st in Vault, 2nd in Bar, 2nd in Beam)
Iron section:
2nd Bar: Lexi
A big thank you goes to Janine Koster and Marquerite for giving up their time to help the girls to prepare. Janine is a past parent and we really appreciate the time she continues to give to us.
