Find out what our FOSS team have been busy organising...

Communication

Our Springston School FOSS Facebook page is up and running. Please give the page a like so that you can keep up to date with events.

An email account FOSS@springston.school.nz has been set up should you wish to email us about anything.

Speak with one of us in person – Aleisha Seller, Emily Cooper, Rachael McIntosh, Janine Greer, Cara Minson, Anita King, Lynley Hansen, Alisa Hawthorne, Laura White, Melissa Freeman

Pet Day 2020

Refreshments on the day have been arranged for everyone to enjoy. The Icecream Van will provide one free icecream to all school children. Please bring some $ if you wish to enjoy some extra.

A Coffee cart will be available for you to purchase hot drinks throughout the morning.

Morning tea will be provided for our wonderful judges and teachers. If you are able to provide a small plate, please make contact with Aleisha Seller (in person, on above email or via Facebook). If anyone would like to sponsor the morning tea, this would be greatly appreciated.

Men’s Bake off and Decoration Competition – this year we would love some of the ‘blokes’ in our community to get involved in our new initiative and produce a Country / Rural themed decorated cake which will be judged and auctioned at Pet Day. Entries will be submitted anonymously but the winner will be announced. These cakes will then be auctioned to the highest bidder. We would love to see as many entries as possible so get your thinking caps on. A flyer will be in your children’s school bags next week with more information so look out for this and get involved.

Burgers and BYO Beers – Pool Opening Party – Friday 20th November 5pm – 7.30pm

Just a reminder that this evening is happening next month and is a great opportunity for you to connect with other families and enjoy our wonderful pool.

You may BYO drinks and FOSS will provide bbq burgers and sausages.

If anyone would like to donate to this evening – precooked sausages, burger patties, buns, fillings, sauces etc or any non alcoholic drinks, please get in touch with one of our FOSS members.

If you would like to offer to help with running the bbq, or if you have a bbq we could utilise for the evening, please let us know.

A flyer will be in your child’s bag at the start of November to ascertain your attendance so we can cater appropriately.

Next Meeting

Monday 2nd November at 3.15pm in Routeburn.

Come and join us! Refreshments provided.
