Every Thursday afternoon the senior school goes down to Foster Park in Rolleston for winter sports. Students are allowed to select many activities including Rugby League, Netball, Soccer, Drama, Korfball to name a few. Lots of other schools from all around Selwyn came down to participate in the activities. I personally think one of the best things about winter sports is communicating with lots of other people from different schools and meeting new friends.

Springston School appreciates the coaches/helpers of all the different sports who take time out of their day to help us with new sports we wouldn’t otherwise play.

Also on the sports front there have been many sport activities/opportunities over the week. This included a few quick runners competing in the local cross country, the girls in the senior school spent Thursday afternoon learning some self defence moves. Kelper and Routeburn have also been practising for their Soccer, Hockey, Rugby and Netball tournament coming up later in Term 3.
