Principal's Update: Friday 13 September
In this edition: Road Works, Skiing next Friday, Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori and Big Life Parent Support
Winter is not over yet!! Hopefully this will be putting a nice piece of icing on Mt Hutt for us next week.
A reminder about the Roadworks starting next week. Please re-read the article in the newsletter as a refresher.
Speaking of snow, thank you parents for your co-operation in getting back your forms for the Ski Day next Friday. It was a quick turn around, so we really appreciated you attention to that. A+ Adaptable!! Updated notices regarding any changes to parent helpers or unattended students will be out next week.
Te wiki o te reo Māori Language Week begins next week. Here at Springston Te Kura o Makonui, te reo is used in the classrooms on a daily basis anyway, but this is an opportunity to extend ourselves and try some new reo and build confidence in our students to use it outside of the classroom with each other. Open yourself up to trying some new phrases. I'm sure you children could give you a few tips. Kia ngahau - have fun.
An additional article in this week's newsletter is from Big Life Journal, which is offering support for parents in an early morning webinar. It looks like it could be very useful and full of tips. If you do happen to participate in it, please let me know if it was valuable or not.
Kia pai to rā Have a great day.
