Fundamental Movement Spectacular for New Entrants to Year 2 students

Karen Stanford —

After the previous success of the Fundamental Movement Spectacular events we have decided to do it all again with new activities!

We will be taking part in this event at Foster Park on Thursday 18th March in the afternoon. We will be leaving school on a bus around 12 noon and will return to school by 3pm. The cost will be approximately $4 per child which is covered by your school donation.

For those of you who are new to the event the whole objective of this day is to give children the opportunity to develop their fundamental movement skills essential to competently and confidently participate in a wide variety of physical activities, sports, and recreational pursuits. Research has shown that children who develop FMS are more likely to engage in sport and physical activity throughout adolescence and adulthood, leading to a healthier lifestyle.

We will need parent help to enable us to attend this event and we may need some parents to drive their own vehicles.

Please see your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns about this event.
