Maria Light reports on the recent, sold-out concert held in St Barnabas.

"The Candlelight Christmas Concert held on the evening of 1st Dec at St Barnabas was an exceptional success. The Illuminate Quartet was led by violinist Rose Light with Tomas Bedggood on violin, Maggie Ma on cello and Rebecca Harris on viola. Gabriel Baird performed on piano.

The sold out concert attracted people from far and wide. The audience enjoyed an evening of sublime classical and romantic music from the Illuminate Quartet, a few glorious piano pieces from Gabriel Baird and some moving and joyful carols.

The gifted musicians set out to give a candlelit concert to fill people's hearts with the love and joy of Christmas. This was certainly achieved. They delighted us with their musical talent and prowess. It was a stunning concert which left the audience feeling uplifted and full of joie de vivre. They would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to St Barnabas for allowing them to play in their beautiful church."
