Seeds planted at St Barnabas mainly music sprout and lead to faith in God

Mark Chamberlain —

New life begins as Julia Brown and her children Leila and Harrison were baptised last Sunday.

"I believe God knocked my door down and called me for baptism today, together with my children Leila and Harrison. The tapping on my door started faintly every so often, a few years back. Yet a few months ago the taps turned into knocks and got louder. I would describe God eventually breaking the door down, to speak clearly to me.

On this day a few weeks ago, I was sitting at my computer desperately trying to focus on writing an essay for university, yet a voice somewhere, repeatedly, told me I must go to a Church and speak to a Vicar.

I was led here, to St Barnabas. I was blessed that afternoon because Mark was in the Church. I am grateful for Mark's guidance through prayer on this day as I experienced a call from God. A connection to St Barnabas was established when my older children attended mainly music several years ago.

The following morning as I usually walked in our back yard, a four-leaf clover appeared on the lawn. I turned around and picked it - in 41 years I have never found one. I knew it was the cementing of my belief in the Holy Spirit, so I placed it in my Bible. A new chapter in my life has begun."
