Dead tree removed from grounds
A crew from arborist company Treetech arrived on site today to remove a dead tree from the church grounds
Four arborists felled the tree which had been growing very close to Fendalton Rd and the boardwalk. It had died over a period of a few years and was rotting from the base up. It broke in two when it came down indicating that it had become a safety hazard and had to be removed urgently. The stump will be ground in the coming weeks and the lawn made good.
We give thanks to God for the specialists who help maintain our beautiful site. Recently Greg fertilised the lawns and they look better than ever. It's a positive witness to the community to see our site look cared for and loved. It's an asset that the whole community can enjoy.
In the mornings and afternoons large numbers of students and workers cycle, scoot or walk through our site. We pray that as they get a feel for our community life that they will appreciate that the St Barnabas community is very much alive and well - and not at all like the dead tree that was removed!
