Life Explored: How To Get The Most Out Of Life

Jo Cotton —

Happiness is the new currency; we are all looking for it and we all want it. But why is lasting happiness so hard to find and are we searching for it in the right place?

‘Life Explored’ is an exciting new way to share the Christian message in today’s highly visual culture. There are seven interactive sessions, based on stunning films shot all over the globe. ‘Life Explored’ helps people uncover what they’re really living for, and see how, in Christ, God meets their deepest desires for happiness.

This series is being run on the first Sunday of the month at Antioch. It is informal and relaxed and is for anyone who wants to find contentment and happiness in life. You can come and sit, listen or ask any question you like.

In the first session we looked at how human beings are a mixture of “the glory and the garbage.” We’re glorious because we’re made by a glorious God - made in God’s own image. This means that we can know and enjoy this God. We flourish most, and enjoy him best, when we reflect him best.

But there is the ‘garbage’ too. Rather than enjoying and reflecting our Creator, we enjoy and reflect ‘created things’ more and cling to and rely upon them for ultimate security and contentment. We had some great discussions and discovered that the greatest gift that God could give us is himself!

Over the next months, we will be looking at The Trustworthy God, The Generous God, The Liberating God, the Fulfilling God, The Life-Giving God and The Joyful God. Join us at Antioch on Sunday nights at 7pm. ‘Life Explored’ is on the 1st Sunday of the month.
