The great promise that all this new technology will make our lives easier, has not always been fulfilled!

I am sure that we have all at some stage experienced the frustrations of technology! And just when you have got the hang of one system, it becomes obsolete and has been upgraded to a new model or system. How on earth do we keep up with it all? The Outreach Committee at St. Barnabas came up with the wonderful idea of having a half-day where they offer ‘IT assistance for Seniors’. They held a very successful ‘IT for Seniors’ event on Saturday 8th May. 18 people from St Barnabas and the wider community were helped with their phones, laptops, tablets, and printers! The event was a great success thanks to the help of our IT ninjas Braden, Hanan, Lynn, Maggie and Francis. Many thanks to Tania who advertised this event on the radio to people who wouldn't have heard about this otherwise! And a big thanks to the Outreach Committee team members!
