Turkey Syria Earthquake Appeal

Jenny Wilkens —

Christian World Service is appealing for donations to help people affected by the earthquakes that rocked northern Syria and southeast Türkiye on Monday, February 6.

Local ACT Alliance (Action by Churches Together) partners and churches are assisting people, especially those displaced by the conflict in Syria. Donations will provide blankets, mattresses, medical assistance, assistance to clear rubble, food, water, sanitation, shelter, psychosocial support, and protection. “Every prayer and gift counts at times like this,” says Murray Overton, National Director, CWS. Christian World Service is the NZ interchurch agency, which our Anglican church is part of, so we encourage you to support their appeal. Donations can be made online and by direct deposit to the Turkey Syria Earthquake Appeal here.  www.cws.org.nz/what-we-do/emergencies/turkey-syria-earthquake-appeal or by phone: 0800 74 73 72.
