A message from Dame Sue Bagshaw about the progress towards a Youth Hub in Christchurch.

Kia ora,

I’m pleased to report that we are making great progress with the detailed design phase for the Youth Hub buildings nearly finished. We are also looking forward to starting site preparations in autumn to make way for construction work.

As we venture deeper into 2022 our focus is now turning to ramping up our fundraising efforts to raise the additional $12.5 million we need to build Youth Hub Christchurch.

With Covid continuing to cause widespread uncertainty and disruptions and construction costs and inflation increasing by the day, the need to raise the additional funds and get building underway as soon as possible is more critical than ever.

To assist us, I’m pleased to share with you our new fundraising videos put together by the very talented John Sellwood from Telling Lives. I also want to thank our Ambassador New Zealand netballer Jane Watson and our youth volunteers for starring in the videos.
