Sandwich Maker Donation & Delivery

Jo Cotton —

On Tuesday some of the members of the Pastoral Care Ministry Action Team (PCMAT) donated and delivered a much-needed new toasted sandwich maker to St. Ambrose Church in Aranui.

When I mentioned to my  PCMAT members that St Ambrose needed a new toasted sandwich maker, they all jumped to action and before I knew it a fancy new professional toasted sandwich maker had been bought. Lynette, Jenny, and I had great fun delivering it to them on Tuesday. Rev'd Anne Russell-Brighty and Linda, one of the Wardens, were delighted with the donation, and Allan, the king of the toastie machines, was very excited to be presented with his new sandwich maker. Becky and Madeleine sadly missed out on the fun, but we are planning to go back for a cuppa tea and a toasted sandwich together sometime soon.

St Ambrose runs a cafe on Tuesdays and Fridays with a free cuppa tea or coffee and a toasted sandwich for $3. Allan said that he has on occasion made 25 toasted sandwiches in an hour!  We hope that this machine will help make that task a little bit easier and last a bit longer than the last ones.

Following Jesus and extending God's Love.
