Meet our new Children & Families Pastor
For as long as she can remember, St Barnabas' new Children & Families Pastor Barbara Neville was called to ministry.

The upgrading of the Hall has begun! Please be aware of the fenced off area, especially when walking to the Tui Room, watch for tripping and slipping hazards. While construction is going on, there will be fewer parking spaces available on site. You may have to park on Tui Street. You are welcome to drop anyone off at the church doors if they need easy access. Please drive slowly and remember to look for those walking to and from church, especially when you are backing. Having a spotter person when backing is a good idea. Watch for children on site Wednesday and Friday mornings, Friday afternoon and evenings during term time and on Sunday mornings.
There are 2 toilets in the St. Barnabas Centre that can be accessed during Sunday morning services, one is a disability access toilet and has a baby changing table. We hope soon to have 2 port-a-loos behind the church which will be accessible during office hours and Sunday Services. Challenging times but we look forward to a new Hall!
Parish Consultation: On Sunday 27th February, 1pm-4pm parishioners will have the opportunity to gather at All Souls’ Church, Merivale, and pray, discuss and listen to each other as we seek to discern God’s way forward for the parish, including the leadership of a new Vicar. This will be facilitated by the Revd Stephanie Robson, Diocesan Ministry Educator, and Alex Summerlee, Diocesan Vice-Chancellor. Covid RED regulations limit attendance to 100, so parishioners will be required to register using the Eventbrite link https://www.eventbrite.co.nz/e/fendalton-parish-consultation-tickets-263755960177 or through the Parish Office. Do make the most of this opportunity—clergy do not attend this consultation!
Special Meeting Motion: Thank you to those who attended last Sunday’s special meeting. The motion was passed to sell the 131 Fendalton Rd property and this has also been approved by the Standing Committee of the Diocese. [see Hall article for full text of motion.]
