Junior Dance

Ms Ruth Sullivan —

Friday, 4 August 2017

It’s finally happening! After much deliberation and pestering from a few persistent students, the next St Bede’s College dance will be on Friday, 4 August.

Our Junior Dance will be held at Marian College Xavier Hall (the building right on the corner; enter through Barbadoes St entrance) on the corner of Barbadoes St and Moorhouse Ave. This has been the case since 2012 as we no longer have Chanel Hall on the St Bede’s College site.

Students must come to St Bede’s College to purchase the tickets, and will also be given drop off and pick up instructions. It is imperative that all students give this to their parents to ensure everyone’s safety to and from the event.

The cost of the tickets will be $10. Students will also be able to purchase additional drinks at the venue for $2.

Tickets will go on sale from 31 July. Boys tickets will be available for purchase at Interval outside Marist House, and the Girls tickets will be available from the St Bede’s College main office Monday to Thursday of that week between 3.00pm – 4.00pm.

In order to make this a positive event,  there will be some changes to the dress code with regards to shoes, so it is important that students make special note of the rules. If the dress code is not adhered to then the student will not be admitted and no refund of the ticket price will be given.

We will have a strong staff and parent presence, prefects from St Bede’s College and head students from the schools invited working to help us on the night.

We do also have a very clear exit plan in place in the possible event of an emergency.  There will be a safety announcement 15 minutes into the dance. This is for the safety of the students and they do need to listen carefully to the instructions.
