Fifty Toes, The Haizy's hit the right note

Abi King —

Year 13 band Fifty Toes made the Rockquest regional finals for the second year in a row, making it the school's most successful band to date.

On Saturday, 27 May our two bands, The Haizy’s and Fifty Toes, competed in the Canterbury heats of the Smokefree Rockquest.

Both bands performed very well, and our Year 13 band Fifty Toes was selected for the regional final.

The band had to prepare a second original song in less than two weeks and performed on Saturday, 10 June at the Ngaio Marsh Theatre in front of a packed audience.

They put on a great show and the audience responded to them so well. Unfortunately, they weren’t selected for the next round, but they are our most successful band to date, having been selected for the regional finals two years in a row.

A big congratulations to Isaac Jones (guitar), Ethan Dawson (Bass), Ollie Lutton (Vocals), HyunJin Lee (Drums) and Rheubyn Hunter (Guitar).
