Academic success rewarded at Pocket Assembly
On Tuesday, 16 May, 53 students were awarded Academic Pockets for their NCEA results in 2022. Of these, seven received the highest honour, Academic Gold.
An academic pocket is given to those who receive an Excellence endorsement in NCEA Level 1 or Level 2. Academic Gold is awarded to those who achieve more than 100 Level 1 Excellence credits or more than 80 Level 2 Excellence credits.
This is a fantastic achievement, and one students should be very proud of.
James Burnside, Deputy Rector - Teaching and Learning, said the Pocket Assembly formally recognises young men who, through hard work and perseverance, have achieved at a significantly high level.
