On the evening of Wednesday 4 August, Kaiako and Akonga welcomed a small group of whanau to our College for the first Whanau Hui of 2021.

Kapa haka, directed by our tutor Matteo Brennan, led a karakia and performed Te Iwi e. This was also the first outing for our new kapa haka shirts, which the boys are incredibly proud to wear.

We are grateful to those who made the effort to attend this Hui. We are looking to build connections and develop relationships that can benefit our kura and our wider community and we will keep sharing details of upcoming events with whanau.

If you have any time to volunteer in our community and have experience in kapa haka, raranga, or can kōrero in Te Reo, we would love to hear from you. You can contact Lou Days on ldays@stbedes.school.nz
