Fide et Opere in Action

Zack Killick —

On 11 and 12 March, some of our prefects team and staff had the privilege of visiting Ronald McDonald House to cook dinner and make desserts for the residents.

It was a really fun experience – we got to chat with some of the staff and share a few laughs. Special mention to Kade Burroughs, who somehow managed to turn an entire pot of pasta into a solid brick – an impressive feat to say the least!

But beyond the fun, it was also a deeply eye-opening experience. We were given a tour of the facilities and heard powerful stories of families who’ve had to leave their homes behind in the hope that their child might recover while in hospital. Hearing those stories really made us stop and reflect on how fortunate we are – for our health, our homes, and the many opportunities we have each day.

Service is officially underway for the year, and we’re excited to see where it takes us next.
