Ben Tomlinson —

Welcome to our June edition of the Old Boys’ newsletter.

Last night, the 94th Annual General Meeting of the Old Boys Association was held and a new committee was elected for the coming year. We farewelled two of our long-standing committee members: the immediate past President of the OBA Steve Kennedy (1981-1985), and Maurice McDermott (1982-1985). On behalf of the Association, I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to Steve and Morrie for their commitment to the Old Boys’ community and their significant contributions as committee members, including Steve’s work as President.

We also welcomed to new members to the committee: Joseph Rayen (2009-2013) and Logan Wood (2008-2012). Joe and Logan are both relatively recent Old Boys of the College and are directors of Rayen & Wood Financial Services. We look forward to their contribution to the Association and will be including profiles of them both in forthcoming newsletters.

The key upcoming event for the OBA is our Annual Dinner at the Crowne Plaza in August. I encourage you all to get in and book a table while the early bird tickets are still available. Last years’ dinner, the first in several years, was enjoyed by all and we are looking forward to hosting an even bigger event this year.

At the College, the school term is approaching a close at the end of this week, but, as always, there is plenty happening which you can read about in the newsletter.

Thank you for your continued support of the Old Boys’ community and enjoy catching up with this month’s news!

Ngā mihi,

Ben Tomlinson
