Information regarding An update from Careers and University visits.

• Some students have just completed a Health and Safety course as well as first aid training and it is pleasing to note that most students achieved to a high standard.
  
• The majority of Benedict House senior students have had a career interview and for those who have not it is now their responsibility to book a time through the careers office. Redwood House is the next on the list.
  
• Mr Hall who runs the Gateway Programme would like to hear from any parents that could offer work experience for our boys, mainly in the trades, hospitality and retail area. He can be contacted through the school- 03 3750647 extension 819 or cell 021 725 830.
  

Universities Visits

This time of year most universities visit the school and below is a list of dates where appropriate students can listen and discuss their future tertiary pathways with the liaison team from that university.

• Thursday, 9 March: University of Canterbury period 4- venue to be confirmed
  
• Friday, 10 March: University of Otago – period 4 in the Careers Room
  
• Friday, 30 March: Lincoln University – period 5 in the Careers Room
  
• Friday, 7 April: Victoria University – period 2 in the Careers Room
  

Please Note: Students will need to sign up with Mr Hooper if they intend on going to the UC presentation.
