Jon McDowall —

I trust this finds you and your whanau well as we head into the last week of Term 1.

The College continues to operate a normal routine with case numbers continuing to reflect that of the wider community. It is positive to see case numbers declining and increasing numbers of students returning to school. A reminder as we head into the last week to please keep your son at home if he is unwell.

Next week you will receive end of Term Learning to Learn reports. These reports outline how your son has engaged with their learning throughout the term. We will start Term 2 with Conference Days for Years 9-13 students on Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 May. This is an excellent opportunity for you and your son to meet teachers to discuss learning progress and next steps. Booking information will be sent out next week.

We look forward to our annual Cross Country next week. In the interest of student health, those recently returning after having COVID-19 will not be able to participate in line with our return to physical activity guidelines.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday, the day we remember and celebrate Jesus returning to Jerusalem. Palm Sunday is also the beginning of Holy Week where we turn our focus  towards the death and resurrection of Jesus. Throughout the week, staff and students will be given opportunities for daily Mass and Reconciliation as we spend the week preparing for Easter. A Holy hour of Adoration will take place in the Chapel on Monday night from 5-6pm. As a College we will gather together on Holy Thursday for the Stations of the Cross.

Until next week

Noho ora mai,
