Student Voice
Talofa Lava,
Welcome back for what promises to be a big term as we get to the busy end of winter sport, prepare for tournament week, Big Sing finals, and our academic studies.
At the assembly on Tuesday, I talked about Catholicism and what the word “Marist” actually means. Marist is an important word in our school and history. Like the thousands that have gone before us, it is important that today’s students have an appreciation of our history, stories, and what it means to be Bedean and Marist.
Marist comes from two of the biggest icons in our school. Mary and Christ, MAR and IST. These two are pillars of our school and, as leaders, their example is something we aspire to. This term, we will focus on the core messaging and values of being in a Marist School at our student-led assemblies.
Best of luck to everyone representing St Bedes in co-curricular events this term. We look forward to a good term ahead, and I wish families and students a safe and enjoyable term.
