Mrs Nola Kilpatrick —

Important Information including the NCEA Maths Common Assessment Test, NCEA Tongan exams and end of year dates follows...

NCEA Maths Common Assessment Test (MCAT)

Year 11 mathematics students get their first taste of an external NCEA exam next Tuesday when they sit the MCAT algebra exam.  Over 40,000 Year 11 students around the country are expected to sit this one-hour examination paper. As this is regarded as an external examination, students will receive their results in January when all exam results are released. As this standard is also a pre-requisite for entry into Level 2 maths at St Bede’s, students need to ensure they are well prepared for it.

NCEA Tongan exams

We are pleased that a small group of students have been participating in Tongan language classes at the Talanoa Centre, Dovedale Village, UC every Friday afternoon and will also sit the NCEA Level 1 Tongan achievement standards examination next week.

NCEA Guide App reminder
NZQA encourage all parents, whanau and employers to download the NZQA App.
The App provides quick and easy access to key information about NCEA and makes practical information about NCEA more easily accessible. Parents and whanau are able to access simple content about how NCEA works and how they can support family members studying in NCEA (no individual student result or progress information is available). The App also supports employers seeking to understand and evaluate NCEA graduates and their qualification. Content can be viewed in English and Te Reo Maori.
The NCEA Guide App is free to download from the Apple App store and Google Play Store.

NZQA fees for NCEA

Please be aware that we cannot accept any further payment for NZQA fees this year. A late payment form is available on the NZQA website with instructions regarding the late payment. NZQA policy is that any student whose fees are not paid will not have access to their NZQA results.
