Information on the progress of the PAC and Chapel.

PAC / PAC Extension

• PAC steps 1 and 2 and terrace 3 have been poured. Handrails have been site measured and are in manufacture.
• In the foyer the wall linings are stopped ready for painting. There are a few remaining Decortech panels to be fitted. The birdcage scaffold has been removed. The skirting panels will be fitted when the floor seismic joint is complete – this work is in hand.
• The fittings to the west toilets and cleaner’s room are installed. The hot water cylinder and comms frame in the chair store room are installed. Painting is complete in these areas. Ceiling grills and second fix services are in hand. Servery oak reveals are installed.
• Installation of the PAC fire alarm panel is in hand.
• In the PAC, carpet to the practice rooms on both levels and in the music room 115. The vinyl flooring to the drama room has commenced.
• Services reinstatement is ongoing. Construction lifeguards are being connected directly to buildings main switch board and the temporary switchboard removed to allow site works to continue along the east side of the site.

Chapel

• In the Chapel the ceilings are being completed and the scaffolding progressively removed.
• In the sanctuary and transept, the walls are complete and painted including the niches. Niche uplighters are on order and will be fitted when they arrive. Completion of the walls to the nave and narthex is well in hand
• High level old stained glass windows have been installed in the transept. Brick dado has commenced.
• The oak door frames have been installed to allow completion of linings and doors are going in. The services cupboard is being fitted out with the main switch board and cabinets for comms, security, power factor correction and window actuators.
• The Chapel heat pump HP1 has been installed and the system is being made ready for commissioning.
• Brick slips and plaster are nearing completion. The roughcast plaster will be painted soon. Remaining roof flashings have been installed. The veranda steps are being poured on 7 August.
