Tuck Shop Changes

sbc —

The St Bede’s dining hall team will be taking over the school Tuck Shop from the start of term 2.

Until now the Tuck Shop has been operated externally Libelle Group. Moving forward, the offering will be overseen by our in-house chefs, and prepared onsite from our main kitchen. We’ll be able to offer a wider range of food, with higher quality, and better value for money.

As well as offering popular products like bacon rolls, gourmet sausages, hot garlic bread, steak pies and winter soups, the daily boarders’ hot lunch option will also be available. This allows us to include items such as fresh pastas, curries and casseroles, rice bowls and braised meats in our offering, to name a few.

Deb Buckland, who previously worked for Libelle, will continue to serve the boys and she will be assisted by Sara  Borcoskie.

One other change is that from term 2 the Tuck Shop will be cashless – with eftpos, debit and credit cards, and contactless payments only. This is intended to significantly improve the service times during the busy periods.

We’re very excited about the changes and looking forward to a new era of better food and more variety.
