Christian Ioane —

Talofa lava,

This month has been a busy one for all students. We ran a Pink Shirt Day to raise money and awareness for bullying, the choir performed at the town hall, and the St Bede's rock musicians competed at Rockquest.

A highlight for a lot of the boys was Feast Day. Feast Day this year was full of faith, connection, fun, competition, and a lot of food. The Prefects did a great job preparing and organising Feast Day for the students. Well done, boys.

Looking ahead, the student leadership team has been talking and working around the school to be more inclusive with each other - inclusion during school, on the sports field, and outside school. Inclusion is one of the many values we have strived to embed at our school over the last couple of years, and we want to keep the momentum going over the rest of the year, as well as for future Bedeans.

At the next student-led assembly, we introduce students to our relationship with Apifou'ou College in Tonga. In October, 16 Year 12 and 13 students will undertake the college’s first faith and cultural trip to Tonga. On the last day of term, the travelling group will be doing further promotional work around Apifou’ou and holding a mufti day, among other things, as a fundraiser.

Lastly, I wish everyone the best of luck with their internals and externals in the last few weeks of term. We ask nothing but to try your best and earn the upcoming holidays ahead.
