Boys who have played for Marist Albion RFC

On the 18th of August the St Bede’s 1st XV squad held their “club day” training where players wore kit that held a special meaning to them. This included jerseys that celebrated where the players came from including National Team kit and Junior Rugby Club kit. We at Marist Albion Rugby Club love celebrating the diversity and inclusion that makes up rugby teams. We were happy to supply our past players with Senior Club Jerseys to acknowledge the connection they still hold with us. Each year we see a large amount of our Junior Club players continue to play at the college. They represent St. Bede’s with pride throughout the age grades and grow through their college experiences. As always, we are also more than happy to see players who don’t have a junior union club try on the green, white and black for the first time with a view to playing in the years to come.

A comment from Anthony Lawry:

"Steve Baker and I, both ex Marist Albion players, were lucky enough to coach a talented bunch of ‘Marist Men’ from the early age at Under 6 through to Under 13, where they went through undefeated at Under 13 level. The history between the schools/club and player loyalty will see the vast majority return to play at Marist Albion or other Marist teams at different codes after their schooling has finished."

I’m sure the young men will continue their Marist journey with the synergy’s in the values of both school and club.
