Conference day

Jon McDowall —

Dear Students, Parents, Caregivers and Whānau

Term 3 will commence with a conference day for Year 11, 12 and 13 students on Monday 25 July 2022 from 8:00am to 3:30pm in the Gymnasium.

This is the last conference day for seniors for 2022. Attendance for all senior students is very important as we look to ensure they are on track to achieve their goals and reach their potential.

Although our expectation is for all senior students to attend, we appreciate that in some cases parents and whānau are not able to attend due to other commitments. If this is the case we still expect to see the student at interviews.

This is an excellent opportunity to discuss your son’s progress and next steps in learning. Prior to conference day you will have received the two reports below.
· Student Record Sheet – 01 July (summative assessment report)
· Learning to Learn Report – 08 July (Attitude and Skills report)

It is important that you book an appointment with your son’s Mana Tāne Kaiako.

There will be no classes on Monday 25 July for Year 9 and 10 students. Classes will resume as normal for all, on Tuesday 26 July.

A summary of key points:
· You should book in with all of your son’s subject teachers as well as their Mana Tāne Kaiako.
· Please bring your son along with you to the interviews. If a parent/guardian or whānau cannot attend, students are still expected to attend as it is a school day.
· Students are to attend in uniform.
· Please be in the gymnasium at least 10 minutes before your first appointment.
· As interview slots are 5 minutes in duration, please endeavour to leave gaps between interviews to give yourself time to move to your next appointment.
· Parking is available via Gate 3 entry on Momorangi Crescent. Please do not use the front entrance off Main North Road.
· No classes on Monday 25 July for Year 9 and 10 students.

Bookings are completed online and will open on Monday 04 July.
