TEMPORARY DIVERSION FOR QEII DRIVE SHARED USE PATH

From Monday 8 July cyclists and pedestrians using the QEII Drive shared path between Grimseys Road and Main North Road will need to follow a diversion via Winters Road and Main North Road. We are upgrading the existing shared use path and it will be unsafe to cycle along QEII Drive while we reconstruct this part. 

The Grimseys Road subway stays open as normal.

Traffic Impact

The temporary diversion from Monday 8 July until 10 October is to continue through the  Grimseys Road subway turning onto Winters Road and then onto Main North Road. The QEII Drive shared use path, between Grimseys Road and Main North Road, is closed for four months.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience while we are building the QEII Drive upgrade. The shared use path will be upgraded to be wider and new plants and trees will be planted. The QEII Drive shared path will connect to the new CNC shared path via the upgraded Grimseys Road and the new Winters Road subway.
