Canterbury Secondary School Junior Tennis Championships

The Canterbury Secondary Schools Junior Tennis Championships was held at Wilding Park this past week and the Year 10 Doubles team of George DeMarco and Joe Morrison placed 2nd .

 

AFL

Yesterday, the St Bede's AFL team competed in the South Island Championships at Westminster park. The team was coached by Stephen Langridge. In their first game they dispatched Shirley Boys 105-22. In their second game they beat Otago Boys A 88-22 and in their final game they beat Otago Boys B 84-24. This saw the team crowned as the top junior boys AFL team in the south island. 

Justin Evans was voted the 'Players Player' and Kynan Stowers-Smith was 'Player of the Tournament'.  The team was captained by Sam Anderson. 

Some players in the team have already been approached by the Canterbury AFL team to play in an upcoming NPC tournament.

Rowing

We wish all the rowers all the very best of luck competing at their Regatta in Lake Hood this weekend, a big thank you to parents for providing transport for them.

Water Polo South Island Junior Championships

We wish our Junior Water Polo team all the very best of luck for the South Island Tournament being held at Jellie Park this weekend.
