Silverstream Exchange

Debating were the winners on Wednesday against St Patrick’s Silverstream exchange. It was a very hard day for the 1st XV who fought well to keep the bigger Silverstream to a 0 – 56 score line, we hope they go better against Nelson College on Saturday.  And the 1st XI Football had another hard battle but played very well in the extreme weather conditions, but could not muster up two more goals and came away with a 1 – 2 loss. I think the weather was the real winner on the day.

A very big thank you to all those families that took in billets, it is lovely to keep our Marist connection going with the two Colleges.

New Zealand Secondary School Cross Country Championships

These Championships are being held at the Ascot Golf Course at QE2 this weekend where 15 boys will compete in this event. 

 Andres Hernandez races at 12.00pm and Nick Moulai races at 1.00pm.  We wish all the boys all the very best for their races tomorrow.

We also wish Ethan Smolej, Andres and Nick Moulai the best when they race in the Canterbury relay team on Sunday morning with the race starting at 10.30am.

St Kevin’s Exchange

The 1st XV, Under 15A Rugby team and the Senior A Basketball teams are all off to St Kevin’s College next Wednesday, 20 June for our annual exchange. Please make sure your son’s are here at school at 7.00am and have plenty of lunch and snacks for the day. We hope to be back at St Bede's College at approximately 6.30pm.

Team of the week

Football Under 17A team who played a wonderful game last Saturday and it was a pleasure to watch such a great game.  Well done to the coaches and players who kept calm and came back into the game and fought hard to come away with a 2 to 1 win against Christchurch United.
