Mrs Clare Kissick —

This week's update includes new regarding the Year 9a cricket team and cricket fundraiser, Wednesday sport and rowing,

Cricket

Congratulations to the Year 9 A team who played Burnside High School Year 9 A team on Monday here at St Bede's College in the New Zealand Community Cricket Competition.  We batted first and scored 290 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.  Burnside were all out for 65.  Man of the match was James McSweeney scoring 100 runs not out and taking 5 wickets for 5 runs off 6.4 overs.

Today the 9A are playing Christ College 9 A in a semi-final game.

Saturday games this week are cancelled due to the test being played at Hagley Park.

Cricket Fundraiser

Thanks to those parents that have supported the Cricket Club’s fundraising.  The savouries will be delivered to school on Tuesday, 29 November.

Wednesday Sport

A big thank you to all those parents who transported students to their games this term, without your help these students would not be able to play their sport as I am really missing the two red vans that the boarding hostel had.

Thank you very much, your support does not go unnoticed.

Rowing

Rowers are training really well for their upcoming regatta which is on Saturday, 28 and Sunday 29 November at Lake Hood.  This is a really good regatta to gauge the new rowers as to where they are at.
