Ag-Venture Days
Lincoln University Future Leader Scholars are running a two-day field tour for years 11 and 12 students called 'Agri-Ventures' during the July school holidays.
The students we are targeting are students who are passionate about the agriculture industry and would benefit from seeing the cutting edge of technology, farming, and science in the agricultural sector.
We are taking applications for this program now, until the 3rd of June 2022.
The cost for this program is free and will be hosted by industry celebrity Tangaroa Walker from Farm4Life.
Locations we will visit are planned to be PGG Wrightson Seeds, Northbank Station and Foodstuffs. These are subject to change.

Christchurch Careers Expo
Come along to the Christchurch Careers Expo, it is a fantastic opportunity for students to have real face to face conversations with businesses and tertiary providers that can really help inspire you and advise your around your career choices.
Date: May 26-28th, 9:00am Thursday / Friday. 10:00am Saturday

Semester two Study Options
ARA have a wide range of courses opening up in Semester Two. One of the most popular options for learners who may be looking to leave school are our Youth Guarantee, or 'YG', courses These have no entry requirements, are for students aged 16-19 and offer additional support services, including transport funding, career planning and advice and extra pastoral care. There are also spaces in some of our other trade courses, as well as other popular mid-year intakes including hospitality and tourism, cookery, business, sport science, study and career prep courses and more. Free fees and scholarships are available for July courses too.

Scholarships that make a difference
We highly encourage students looking at studying with us to apply for one of our Ara Advantage scholarships. We offer $4000 cash scholarships that can be used for fees, transport, accommodation, extra equipment and much more. Applications for Semester 2 close on 31 May, and will be open again later in the year for those starting their study in 2023. We also have a number of partnership scholarships that are worth checking out too!
