Changes at Chaneys On-ramp

Unfortunately these changes didn't happen yesterday due to some issues with the pavement. We now expect to close the Chaneys on-ramp and open the new neighbouring one-laned diversion road mid-June. We will update you as soon as we have a confirmed date.

QEII Drive Barriers

We will be installing more barriers on QEII Drive on the night of Thursday 1 June. Once these barriers are in place we can start work on the bridge embankments to take the new motorway over QEII Drive. The barriers will protect both drivers and our work crew while work goes on close to the road. Installation needs to happen at night for safety and because we need to use a stop/go traffic setup. Nearby residents will experience noise as our crew deliver and install the barriers, we apologise for this disturbance. The attached notice shows the location of this work.

Piling near QEII Drive

Our piling has paused in this area as the deeper ground conditions are providing a bit of a challenge. We are doing some more ground investigations to get a better picture of what is happening 8-12m underground in the piling location sites and we expect to continue piling in 1-2 weeks. Piling in this area will take 6 weeks and will be followed by 4 weeks of piling work in the Winters Road area. I have attached the piling notice sent out in early May for your reference.

Fraser Street/Cranford Street Intersection Improvements

The installation of a traffic island will take place on Friday 2 June between 9am and 3pm. More flexi-post will also be installed in the next weeks to prevent through traffic on Cranford Street using the right turn bay. The attached notice provides more information.
