Senior Prizegiving on Tuesday night was a wonderful celebration of the academic talent in the College.

We congratulate all students who received academic awards. Below is the list of Special awards which recognise additional talents and service.

Senior – Special Prizes 2016

Henry Quirke and John Tran - The Board of Honour Prize for the Year 11 student/s who received the most top weekly notes certificates.

Samuel Robb - Board of Honour Prize for the Year 12 student who received the most top weekly notes certificates.

Adam Lyons and Samuel Robb - A Bishop Hanrahan Memorial Cup for Religious Education.

Ollie Flett - Father Gerard Mills Scholarship for the Year 12 student who has contributed to, and provided leadership in, the cultural life of the College.

Cyrano Kajitani - The Hudson Cup for Academic Endeavour for a Senior student receiving Learning Support.

Jack Dixon - The George Fulguirinas Cup for a student who has overcome challenges when faced with adversity.

Josh Dolan - The Parent-Teacher Association Award for the Outstanding role model in the Learning Support Department.

Oliver Davidson - The Mrs M O'Sullivan Memorial Trophy for Dramatic Art

Connor McSweeney - The Instrumental Music Award.

Lewis Kan - The Vernon Griffiths Award for Singing.

Matthew Pemberton - The Sir Walter Clifford Cup for Debating.

Ben Mattingly - The MM & JJ Kavanagh Memorial Prize for Oratory.

Seb Johnson - The Sean O'Brien Memorial Trophy for Outstanding Achievement in an Individual Sport.

Tom Moulai - The Father Scambary Cup for the Sportsman of the Year.

Theep Song Ungsupaisarn - The Diligence Gold Medal for the Year 13 student who received the most top weekly notes in 2016.

Sion Davies and Ben Mattingly - The Clayton Cosgrove Cup for Leadership and Service.

Maui Brennan - The Carl Sweeney Memorial Trophy for the Best and Most Generous Use of Personal Talent.

Joshua Read - The Brodie Gold Medal for Religious Knowledge.

Vincent Lucas - The JC Colin Trophy for Outstanding Contribution to the Special Character of the College.

Blue Riband Awards

Justin Lee - The Ignatius O’Boyle Cup and Gold Medal for Best and Most Generous Use of Talent in all Aspects of School Life.

Jack Dixon - The NZ Federation for Deaf Children Devine Family Cup for Excellence in Year 13 and $250.

Jack Dixon - The NZ Federation for Deaf Children Norma Taylor Memorial Trophy for Overall Excellence in Years 9-13 and $500.

Maui Brennan - The Cup for Proxime Accesit to the Dux (runner-up to the Dux).

James McCrea - The Grimes Gold Medal and Dux of the College.

James has had an excellent final year at the College. His diligent approach to school work has seen him excel in all his subjects. As well as being committed and willing to put in extra work, he is able to be perceptive and insightful in his writing.

James played for the U19 Football Team and was awarded most improved player
