Here's hoping with the first real cold blast of winter, with rain, hail and bitterly cold winds in the past couple of days and a nice frost this morning, that all the nasty bugs still hanging around disappear!!

A number of staff and boys attended the funeral of Ann Rathbun yesterday.  Ann was the school nurse here at St Bede's College for 16 years from 1985-2001. She was second Mum to many of the boarders  over the years and a caring, compassionate nurse. Her husband Gerry and sons Tim, Mark and Jeremy all attended St Bede's. Gerry was also a long-standing member of the Old Boys Association until his death. 
RIP Ann.
