Calling for Expressions of Interest for Board of Proprietors Trustee Roles

Our Mission:

The Board of Proprietors exists to enable the operation of St Bede’s College as a boy's secondary boarding school and to enhance its Catholic and Marist Character. The Board is also responsible for finance, plant and capital investment and maintenance.

Our Board:

There are currently seven Trustees on our board, with four vacancies available in early 2024. As a board, we aim to have a balance of knowledge, experience and attributes across all our Trustees that will inspire strategic governance leadership, informed decision-making, strong business acumen and effective communication.

Vacancies:

We are seeking interest from people within our Bedean Community who display some of the following governance attributes:

• Practice the Catholic faith.
• Upholds and lives by the Marist Charism and demonstrates Mercy, Compassion, Forgiveness, Humility, Justice, and Honesty.
• Shows reliability, commitment, enthusiasm, encouragement, and support.
• Is aware of own strengths and weaknesses.
• Is resilient and maintains composure and effectiveness in the face of adversity.
• Acts with courage.
• Fosters cooperation and effective teamwork is participative, collaborative and collegial, and values the input of others.
• Is comfortable with and tolerant of reasonable risk, ambiguity, and uncertainty.
• Respect the law.
• Demonstrates a propensity for decision-making.
• Understands the value of the group and respects his or her role within it.
