Students tour automotive trades
On Tuesday, 27 February, a group of boys from the Year 11 Nuts and Bolts science class went on the MITO automotive trades tour.
Year 11 students Harry Boyce, Cohan Clemence and Aodan Berry, as well as Tobi Moore, Henry Hanrahan, and Sam van der Wilt from the Gateway class, were taken to three different aspects of the trades to have a look around.
The students visited Penske diesel mechanics in Hornby, Team Hutchinson Ford for light vehicle engineering, and the IAG repair hub to look at paint and body work careers.
The boys were able to ask questions and get careers advice about apprenticeship opportunities in the motor vehicle trades.
Thanks to Ms Kershaw for helping to organise the day, and to MITO for hosting us.
