Congratulations Hunter Cutbush and Thomas Martin

This year Thomas and Hunter were the coaches for the North Canterbury Basketball “A Team” which consisted of boys in Years 7 and 8.

The team competed in the top grade of the South Island Primary Tournament or “SIPTS” which is a three day competition held every year with teams invited from all over the South Island.

Thomas and Hunter were involved in the selection of this team and put in a huge amount of time for trainings leading up to the competition.

The final was between Horimako and North Canterbury with Horimako having won this tournament for the last three years.

It was a nail biter coming down to the last five seconds to play, North Canterbury won by two points!

All parents were very impressed with Thomas and Hunter’s knowledge of the game, their excitement and passion and the way they communicated with the players.

Congratulations boys. You have been an inspiration to younger players and excellent role models.
