Six new faces boost international department
This term in the international department we have welcomed six new students from five different countries (South Korea, Vietnam, Italy, Chile, France), and one new staff member all the way from Christchurch.
The variety of flags adorning the international room is continually increasing, adding even more colour and diversity to our team of 20 international students.
One of the highlights of the term was a trip to Canterbury University. This outing provided a unique opportunity for our students to explore the impressive campus, gain insights into university life, and discover potential future academic pathways.
During the tour, our students had the opportunity to explore the different faculties, interact with professors, and enjoy a boba tea at the university’s international café.
It was a valuable experience that has hopefully inspired them to work towards their goals with increased dedication and enthusiasm.
With the holidays approaching, our boarding students will once again go into homestays over the holiday period. They are looking forward to the break from the boarding house routines, with a few more sleep-ins on the agenda.
We wish Sam Choi all the very best as he heads up to the North Island with the St Bede’s basketball team to compete in the Secondary Schools National Basketball champs.
