Senior Target Forward Interviews

Over the past week Year 11 -13 students have been meeting with the Tutor for their target forward interviews. This process involves reflecting on last year’s progress, setting goals for this year, discussing any potential barriers and putting in place any relevant supports.

Parents will have access to a summary of these interviews via the Parent Portal at the end of next week.

My Future Self – Year 13 Programme

Transitioning from being a current student to an ‘Old Boy’ of St Bede’s can be a significant challenge for our Year 13 students. This is an area where the Old Boys Association has decided to support your son through the funding and resourcing support of a ‘My Future Self’ project. The Project aims to ‘engage and inspire’ your son as they prepare for life after St Bede’s. The programme is being delivered by the team from Zestpeople.

This pilot project will run throughout 2017 commencing May 25. The emphasis is on self-discovery, helping to build the confidence of our students as they enter the decision making process. In completing the programme students will also uncover their personality preferences, interests, motivators & skills. Each of which will be linked to future career/study options.

There will be four sessions spread over the year. The first of these is Thursday, 25 May. Each day starts with and ‘Inspire’ cooked breakfast in the College Dining Room. A group of Old Boy’s will join the students for breakfast and share their employment and career journey’s. Following breakfast students will complete a one-hour workshop with the team from Zestpeople. Please see attached flyers for further information.

Senior Parent Teacher Evenings

These are scheduled for Tuesday, 30 May (4-7pm) and Friday, 2 June (1:30-3:30). Bookings will be open from Tuesday, 16 May. You will receive an email message with booking information.
