During the School Holidays, George Lawry competed in the Skoda South Island Schools cycling road race in the U17 grade.

It was a great experience for him as he still only 15 and racing against older riders and schools with multiple riders. George finished 11th in a field of 50+ riders which is a great achievement. Congratulations. George also competes every Wednesday in the Christchurch Schools racing where there is over 200 riders each week from schools in ChristChurch competing. Currently he is the only rider from St Bede’s competing and it would be great to get a few more Bedean's along to race .
