Mrs Clare Kissick —

An update for this week

 Athletics

A huge congratulation to Nick Moulai who won the National Under 17, 3,000m race at the New Zealand Secondary School Nationals in Auckland.  Nick was outstanding breaking the New Zealand record by 15 seconds and the St Bede's College record by 30 seconds which was amazing.

Nick then backed this up with a 2nd place in the 1500 metres the next day but coming into the home straight there was a bit of jostling going on and Nick was disqualified from the race which was disappointing given Nick’s size.

Tom Gill won gold in the Senior Boys' 110m Hurdles and also finished 3rd in the Senior Boys’ 300 metres hurdles - congratulations.

Tom Moulai also won gold in the Senior Boys’ 800 metres which was another great effort.

A big thank you to John Gamblin and Robin Pettit for taking these boys to the Nationals.

A Big Thanks You

Thank you to all the parents who have helped with sport this year at the College especially all those that sit on Sports Clubs you contribution is invaluable.

I am not sure how we would manage sport here at the College without your help which is truly appreciated by myself and all at the College.

Have a lovely Christmas and enjoy a nice restful time with those lovely sons of yours.

Thank you very, very, much

Clare
