Vietnam and Cambodia School Trip 2020
We have a fantastic opportunity to take a group of students from St Bede’s College to Cambodia and Vietnam, to go beyond the classroom and immerse themselves in the history, language, culture and people relating to their studies.
This trip will be open to any student who takes History or Geography in Year 12 or Year 13 in 2020.
The tour is relevant to the school curriculum and enhances the learning done in the classroom. Highlights include.
- Visiting the temples at Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat
- Exploring the killing fields of Cambodia and meeting with a survivor of a Khmer Rouge Prison Camp
- A home-stay and community service project in the heart of the Mekong Delta
- Guided tours of Ho Chi Minh City & Hanoi, visiting the site of the Battle of Long Tan and the memorial to the NZ & Australian troops that were involved
- Meeting with a former North Vietnamese Airforce pilot
There will be an information evening on Thursday 8th August in the College Staffroom to provide students and parents with more detailed information on the tour itinerary and to cover all other aspects related to the proposed tour.
Please register you interest with Mr Ryan (nryan@stbedes.school.nz) or Mr Wilson (cwilson@stbedes.school.nz) to confirm your attendance on the night
