Highfield wastewater and watermain - Project Update

What We are installing new sewer and water pipes to service future development in the area.

Where 

• On the south side of Prestons Rd.
  

When

•  July to Sept (hours of work will be between 7am & 6pm).
  

Why

•  The Redwood area is growing and we need to provide underground services to cater for this growth.

• The contractor is JFC phone 343 1057 between 7am- 6pm (Monday to Friday) or 027 522 0270 outside of these hours. Please advise us if you have specific property access requirements e.g. medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries or planned works.
  

What

Work is progressing along Prestons Rd, and from Monday, 9 July 2018 the one way system will be changing direction to allow only westbound traffic. 

Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Grimseys Rd / QE2 Drive and Hills Rd. This change is to reduce delays on QE2 Drive during peak traffic.

Traffic will still be two way from the Grimseys/ Prestons intersection westwards.

Noise 

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn't impact on your power, water, gas or phone services

Safety

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.

Bins

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed. Learn more about our work.

Works will progress along the south side of Prestons Rd from the Grimseys Rd intersection towards Main North Rd.

Two way traffic will be maintained at all times on Prestons Rd, and will have 30km/hr speed restrictions in place. Side streets will have restricted entries as works progress across the intersections, with appropriatedetours in place.

Driveway access will be restricted during working hours as works progress.
