The St Bede's Senior Futsal team travelled to Wellington to take part in the Secondary School Futsal Nationals this week. We struggled against Wellington College in the first game but made significant improvements from there. On Wednesday afternoon we played Lindisfarne College and beat them 6-3. The next morning we played St Patrick’s College Silverstream and beat them 6-1 with hat tricks from Josh Collett and Sam Ryder. Straight after that we played a strong St Thomas’ side which we held off for a 2-2 draw. In our final game for the day we narrowly went down to Hastings Boys' 4-3. Our final game for the tournament was against Middleton Grange which we drew 2-2. The team has made some massive improvements over the week with the future of Futsal looking positive at St Bede's College. The team was well coached by Luke Ziswiler and managed by myself.
