From the Rector
Greetings from St Bede’s
A special week and I hope the various photos give people in our community an idea of the prize-giving and leavers' day, events that parents and their sons look forward to.
It was a pleasure to have Bishop Paul as the celebrant to the Mass and his homily to all was as usual most poignant.
Kevin Meates and Rebecca Methven, (their sons Lewis Meates and George Methven), were the two parents of a Year 13 student who spoke at the breakfast. Both come from families very well connected with the College.
On behalf of the Old Boys' Association, Ben Tomlinson addressed the Year 13s in the Chapel as part of the Tie Ceremony, an established ritual where the boys shed their school tie and replace it with a tie generously donated by old boys in the community.
For your interest attached is the list of our top prize winners for the special and premier awards.
Until next week,
J. G. Boyle
