Basketball starts again tonight. Please check the draw and don’t forget your parent bench warmer, mouth guards and playing singlets.

Congratulations to all players who went to St Kevin’s on Tuesday and competed in a very successful exchange.

ST PATRICK'S SILVERSTREAM EXCHANGE

St Pat’s Silverstream is in Wellington this year. The teams are flying up on Tuesday 11 June. The boys will be billeted that night, play their matches on Wednesday, and flying back early evening. 

Teams taking part this year are Rugby 1st XV, Hockey and Football 1st XI and Senior Debating Team. Please make sure your son has checked with his team manager to find out what flights he is on and timings for the airport!

ROWING

Well done to the following rowers who have gained top ten badges, Thomas Arscott, Matty Barr, Ben MacGregor, Lewis Meates, Quentin Monoghan, Will O’Brien, Caleb Parsons, Jamie Soper and Ben Visser.

SURFING

Congratulations to Neko Tohiariki who received a School Sport Champions Badge for his recent surfing win at Canterbury Secondary School Surfing Champs.

CANTERBURY SECONDARY SCHOOLS ROAD RACE

Congratulations to Ethan Smolej who was placed 3rd in the Senior Boys, and to the Senior Team of Ethan, Daniel Pace, Ronan Biglow and Sam Doherty who were also placed 3rd.

The U16 Team of Jacko Siave, Isaac Hutchinson, Max Coltman and Joshua Cowan were placed 2nd in the team event.

Year 9 Boys' Team of Noah Allison, George Robins, Dylan Butler and Findlay Neale also gained a 3rd place in the teams event.

BOXING

Congratulations to Byron Antal who won JNR Golden Gloves title for 85kg section and was named most improved fighter of the tournament for over 80kg boxers.

ROCK CLIMBING

My apologies for not spelling Jake Townshend's name correctly in last week’s newsletter and would also like to add that he not only competed in the Australian National competition, but came first in his age group for Lead Climbing at that competition.
